ABOUT
ZERO HUNGER
United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, aims to ensure no one goes hungry and everyone has access to safe and nutritious food for all year-around. It seeks to end hunger, improve food security, and promote sustainable farming by 2030.
MISSION OF ZERO HUNGER.
The mission of Zero Hunger, as outlined by the United Nations in its Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2), is to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030. This mission is centered around ensuring that all people, particularly the poor and those in vulnerable situations, have access to sufficient, nutritious food all year round. The goal also emphasizes ending all forms of malnutrition, including stunting and wasting in children, while improving the nutritional needs of women, adolescents, and the elderly. Additionally, SDG 2 targets doubling the productivity and incomes of small-scale food producers, especially women, and addressing the challenges they face in accessing resources such as land. The broader vision includes fostering sustainable agricultural practices that contribute to food security, with a focus on resilience and adaptation to climate change. The mission seeks to transform food systems, reducing food waste and promoting the distribution of food in a way that ensures it reaches those most in need
