Republic Act No. 11037 - "Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act" (2018)

This law addresses hunger and undernutrition among children by establishing a nationwide feeding program. It specifically targets malnourished children in public daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools. The law mandates the provision of fortified meals and milk to improve children’s nutritional intake. Local government units (LGUs) collaborate with national government agencies to implement the program, using a portion of local education and development funds to support it. This collaborative effort is designed to help children be ready to learn and grow healthier by receiving nutritious meals at school

Republic Act No. 11310 - "Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Act" (2019)

Families participating in 4Ps receive regular financial assistance, conditional upon their children’s attendance in school and participation in health and nutrition programs. By reducing financial barriers, this law aims to combat hunger and break the cycle of poverty by improving the quality of life for future generations. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) administers the program, which has become a key component of the country's social safety net
